Job Title: Senior Engineer / Engineer System Administrator (Linux)
Job Description
- Maintains advanced knowledge of the OS's, Databases and applications along with the applicable services
- Implementation, maintenance, patching, upgrading, tuning, migration, backup, disaster recovery
- Overall database security including integrated security with the operating system.
- System troubleshooting and problem solving
- Server side Scripting, debugging, troubleshooting and fixing
- Shell Scripting, debugging.
Candidate Profile
At least a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Computer Science or equivalent
Excellent exposure on System administration, Linux with good exposure in implementation, maintenance, patching, upgrading, tuning, migration, backup, disaster recovery.
MCSE, RHCE, MCSA, MCDBA or other similar certification preferred
Experience working 24x7 on mission critical Internet Infrastructure is preferred
Project management experience would be an advantage
