- What is Ftping?
FTPing (File Transfer Protocol) is just terminology
used, when a user is uploading his/her website, or anything
onto another machine. It is also used when a user is
downloading.
- How do I do that?
You need to use a FTP client. Win95 comes with an inbuilt
one, which is not very user friendly, hence it is better
to download a client from one of the shareware archives,
such as www.shareware.com. Clients such as WsFTP and
Cute FTP are good ones

the role of ftp in networking?
FTPing is used primarily to transfer files between one
machine to another
- Ftp is comfortable with what type
of files?
You can transfer any type of file with FTP, however
be careful to set the type to BINARY, else images etc
will get corrupted.
- How do I configure it?
On most FTP clients, you will require 3 pieces of information.
Username (This is the username we email to you) Password
(This is the password sent out) Server/Host name (this
is your domain name www.yourdomain.com)
- Can I have multiple FTP access?
We only give one FTP account per domain/webspace.
- Can any anonymous user login to
my site and upload his files?
No.
- Do you give FTP account in the
same package?

you can download from the Web are:
