    Microsoft Outlook : How do I setup an LDAP Directory Service?

   Solution:

  1. Start the Microsoft Outlook program
  2. Select Tools from the menu bar.
  3. Select Email Accounts
  4. Select the Add a new directory or address book.
  5. Select on Internet Directory Service (LDAP) then click Next.
  6. Select Directory Services.
  7. In the Server Information enter Server Name, ldap.net4india.com
  8. In the Logon Information Select checkbox for My LDAP server requires me to log on and enter Username and Password Given into Mail
    Username    cn=Demo Admin,dc=net4india,dc=com
    Password    ********
  9. Select the More Settings button.
  10. Select the Search
  11. In the Search Options Enter Search Base
    ou=Address Book,ou=net4,ou=clients,dc=ldap,dc=net4india,dc=com
  12. Select the OK button.

   Use the LDAP Directory Service.

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook and Select Tools from the menu bar..
  2. Select Address Book button.
  3. Select Find Now from Tools.
  4. Put the name or part of the name you are searching for in the Display Name
  5. Click the Contains Radio button. A list of users that match your criteria will be displayed.
  6. Repeat for additional users.
