Microsoft Outlook : How do I setup an LDAP Directory Service?
Solution:
- Start the Microsoft Outlook program
- Select Tools from the menu bar.
- Select Email Accounts
- Select the Add a new directory or address book.
- Select on Internet Directory Service (LDAP) then click Next.
- Select Directory Services.
- In the Server Information enter Server Name, ldap.net4india.com
- In the Logon Information Select checkbox for My LDAP server requires me to log on and enter Username and Password Given into Mail
Username cn=Demo Admin,dc=net4india,dc=com
Password ********
- Select the More Settings button.
- Select the Search
- In the Search Options Enter Search Base
ou=Address Book,ou=net4,ou=clients,dc=ldap,dc=net4india,dc=com
- Select the OK button.
Use the LDAP Directory Service.
- Open Microsoft Outlook and Select Tools from the menu bar..
- Select Address Book button.
- Select Find Now from Tools.
- Put the name or part of the name you are searching for in the
Display Name
- Click the Contains Radio button. A list of users that match your criteria will be displayed.
- Repeat for additional users.
