In the office Employees are freed from wire connections. Fixed wireless access enables an employee to move around while maintaining his access to the information system. An employee on the move can also stay in contact with his intranet back in the office for accessing critical information which helps him in making quick business decisions.

In Public Places Hotels, train stations, airports, cafés, shopping malls, etc., are all heavily frequented areas. With the installation of WiFi terminals in these areas, people on the move can have access to Internet sites or all the shared applications of their company from their portable PCs or PDAs with the same ergonomy as in the office.

In Temporary Hotspots A hot spot can be a permanent traffic area (train station hall, café, etc.) but certain events may lead areas to be extremely frequented by workers on the move for a given period of time. This is the case for trade shows or exhibition fairs.
