Net 4 India plans 30 new country code domains
New Delhi: Internet Service Provider (ISP), Net 4 India is planning to introduce 30 new country code top-level domain names (ccTLD) for increasing its marketshare in the domain registration segment.
Net4Domain which is part of Net 4 India - the largest domain registration company - has also announed a domain transfer package which allows the customers to transfer the names from more expensive domain registrars to Net4Domains. According to Net 4 India, CEO, Jasjit Sawhney, they are able to deliver this package due to a strategic tie-up with Bulkregister.com, the second largest domain registration company in the world.
As per the scheme devised by Net 4 India, the customer has to pay a one-time fee of Rs. 650 to effect the transfer. Once the transfer is effected he gets the balance period remaining with the old registrar plus one year at the above rates with Net 4 India. The customer can subsequently renew his domain the following year at the rate charged by Net4domain.
