How to Book a Domain Name
|
Basic Steps
- Go to www.net4domains.com
- Search for the domain name of your choice in the
"search" option available on the home page
of www.net4domains.com. In the window you will need
to add only the name you would like to have and then
select between .com / .net and .org ( top level domains
).
- In case you want to check the availability of any
of the three "top level domains" you could select
ALL and see which of these are available.
- Then press GO.
- If the domain name is already taken then any two
of the error messages could be flashed on the screen.
One is when the domain is already registered in someone
else's name and the other is, when it is entered in
our system ie. it is booked in our system. A sample
of each is attached.
- If the domain is registered by someone else
- Domain Name in Use. Sorry, the domain anydomain.com
is already taken. The domain name anydomain.com
is in use by another company or individual. You
cannot register this domain. Please click here to
choose another domain.
- If the domain is booked by someone else
- This Domain anydomain.com is already selected
by someone and is in the process of Registering.
Please come back to book the domain after few days
if it is available then.
- If no one has the domain name then a form will appear
which has to be filled in by the registrant. He/she
is the legal owner of the domain, irrespective of
the Admin/technical and Billing handles given.
- Fill in the form very carefully, ensure all fields
are correctly filled, else delays will occur in the
registration.
- Click register and the next page which will open
will give you your order number. This is very important
as all further communication is done with the help
of this number. Print out this page if you require
a copy of the information.
- You will receive an email containing the aforementioned
information. A sample of the email is given below.
This email does NOT mean that your domain has
been registered, it merely confirms your order.
To register it you will have to send a DD or cheque
of the required amount.

your order ID and your domain/s. If these are omitted
NO registration will occur.
- After you have paid for your domain, you will receive
another email with in 48 hours saying that your domain
has been registered.
