If your modem is correctly installed you will be presented
with a list of Commands and Responses from the modem
N.B.
These Commands and Responses vary between makes and models
of modems. It is not unusual for the modem to respond wih
some errors in the list.
If an error message is displayed such as "port
already open" or "cannot communicate with
modem" then it is probably caused by another program
that is using the modem. Close any such programs (e.g. fax
or telecommunications software) and try again.
